Private memory journal for parents

Dear Future

Messages for tomorrow.

Some moments slip away before we can hold them. Dear Future helps you save the smiles, the first words, the tiny everyday wonders — and gift them back to your child when they're ready to read.

“Before the memory fades away…”

Parenting is fleeting. We think we'll remember the little things — the way they giggled, the mispronounced words, the questions that made us pause. But life moves quickly, and these moments slip through our fingers.

Dear Future is your journal for the in-between. For the small things that matter most. For the story only you can tell your child. One day, they'll look back and see how much they were loved.

How it works

Three small steps. A lifetime of moments.

From the smallest note to a story your child can hold one day.

  1. Save a moment

A note, photo, video, or voice message — captured when it happens.

  2. Watch their story grow

Moments collect into a private timeline organized around your child.

  3. Hand it over one day

Share the archive when the time feels right.

What's inside

Everything worth remembering, organized around real family life.

Three things Dear Future does well, and nothing it shouldn't.

A look inside

A quiet home for every little thing.

The Home screen makes capturing a moment a five-second thing. The Timeline turns those moments into a story you can wander back through.

Dear Future home screen: 'Jot down a moment' card, a date strip, recent posts for the child Buddy, and a 'Share memories' button to open the Wi-Fi mini-site.
Home A gentle nudge to write today.
Dear Future timeline view: age filters (All, Birth, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years), and a vertical list of memories — 'learnt how to clap', 'Some nice outside time', 'Just another day mucking about' — each tagged with the exact age at the time.
Timeline Every memory at the exact age it happened.
Privacy by design

Your family's story belongs to your family.

No account, no tracking, no silent uploads. Dear Future is built around the simple idea that your child's memories shouldn't live on someone else's server.

FAQ

Good questions, gentle answers.

Who is Dear Future for?

Anyone who loves a small human and wants to remember them well — parents, grandparents, godparents, guardians. It's especially lovely for capturing the early years your child won't remember themselves.

How is it different from a photo album or notes app?

Dear Future is built around your child, not your calendar. Every memory carries their exact age, every entry can hold a photo, video and voice note together, and the whole archive can be handed over as a beautiful, readable inbox — not a folder of files.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Everything works offline. Sharing with your child happens over your own home Wi-Fi, between devices in the house.

What happens if I lose my phone?

You can export each child's archive as a single keepsake file at any time, and back it up wherever you trust — a USB drive, a private cloud folder, an external disk.

How much does it cost? Is there a subscription?

Dear Future is a one-time purchase — no subscriptions, no in-app upgrades, no ads. You pay once on the App Store or Google Play, you own the app, and every future update is included.

When can I get it?

We're polishing the final details for iOS and Android. Keep an eye on the App Store and Google Play — or check back here for the launch date.

Save the moments that matter.

Dear Future is coming soon to iOS and Android.
